Here’s a trend in office furniture you’ve got to like: Affordability.
Many of our quality lines, like OSP, National, Gunlocke, and Allsteel, are coming up with more affordable lines that maintain their high standards of quality. They’re doing it through design engineering. For example, they find ways to less, not lower quality materials. Several companies have introduced lines using veneers. These products look great, last a long time, but cost a little less.
Our next several postings show some of these new lines, many of which you can see in our downtown Fort Wayne (IN) showroom on Main Street, next to the big bread sign.

Renegade

WaveWorks Enhancements
National’s best-selling desk series gets enhanced with vertical storage and new, airier designed leg supports as well as stamped metal and acrylic modesty panels and new reception options.
Mix-it Mesh Back
The Mix-it seating collection expands its offering with task, stool and guest mesh back models featuring a contoured, cushioned edge and highly durable, breathable mesh webbing for full ergonomic support with a thin profile. The mesh back task model offers adjustable lumbar support.
Aquaint
Wall-saver design, along with a bariatric model, Acquaint is National’s newest wood seating collection offering six different back styles, contrasting fabrics and protective polyurethane arm caps.
Wireless Technology
Integrated into surfaces, lounge arms and tablets; National is showcasing several wireless technologies in low and medium power. Also debuting is a grommet retrofit solution, existing National furniture can be updated with the convenience of wireless power. National’s wireless power partners include Fulton Innovation’s eCoupled™, PureEnergy™ Solutions’ WildCharge™ and WiPower technologies.
Allsteel blew everyone away with their new Seek line of chairs. We’re really excited about bringing these to Fort Wayne, Warsaw and South Bend (BTW,we are the Allsteel dealer for South Bend.)
The new Seek line brings real comfort and high quality chairs for training rooms, cafes, and other multi-purpose spaces. And, it’s totally stackable.

We spent two days in Chicago at the annual office furniture industry’s major trade show called NeoCon checking out what new things we’ll be bringing into our showroom in the year ahead.
While we usually hold a warehouse sale in the fall to sell off excess used office furnishings, this is the first time we’ve ever held a store wide sale on both new and used items. It’s a great chance to save on overstocked items, one of a kind pieces, and items we were able to purchase at special low prices.
Today (May 17) is day one, so we have the biggest selection now. This sale ends on Friday, May 28. You save money, we get some extra room. Maybe we should call it the “Win-Win” sale, but we’re just going with “Spring Cleaning Sale.”

Its design and ergonomics work seamlessly while the controls are intuitive. Acuity is elegant and pleasing to the eye, as anything inessential has been stripped away, leaving behind only a purity of form. It’s a comfortable meeting room chair for around $300.
In training rooms, it’s important that everyone can see the facilitator. That get’s hard to do when people in the back have to look through rows of computer monitors.
